To My Friends…
I wanted to take this post to thank all of you who have been reading my posts. Whether it’s photography or the personal things going on in my life – thanks!
You’ve helped me in both of my spring classes. In the marketing class, I want to thank Pat, Pauline, Mark R., Ruthy, Betty, David W., Mike G., Art, Kirstin, Kristin, Carol, Mark D., Susan C., Phyllis, Chris, Larry, Mimi and Richard. You answered some questions either on the phone, via email or a survey. You guys helped me get an A in the class.
My advance media management class was a very interesting class and this is where this blog originated from. All of you helped me on this just by coming to the blog and reading something, even for a short period of time. To everyone – all of you – thanks! I got an A in this class too.
Now – as I have publicly stated and will do so here again – I am rolling, ever so slowly, on my masters project. My goal is to have it finished by the end of the year and graduate in December or next May. In any case, the end of the year is the deadline.
The idea behind the project is looking at best business practices in student media and looking at how different student media organizations are handling their revenue streams. How can we apply those ideas to what is happening at Kent State. I will be looking at what they do at KSU and what is going on outside of KSU. I hope my project will help to revive some lost revenue streams. Hopefully, we can take some of those lessons and apply them to the mainstream media as well.
This Blog
I am not planning on abandoning this blog. I’ve found some neat interesting things to write about at least weekly, so check back or if you like use the “Follow me via Email” sign up on the right hand side of the page.
Again – many thanks to all of you. If Mom & Dad were still around, they would be proud of me too. I was never really a good undergrad, but – well – as we know, hindsight is always 20/20.
Cheers!
